Wormentel tablet contains Fenbendazole (444mg) an antiparasitic agent used to treat many worm infections. It produces its action by killing the worms which is responsible for infections.Â

Parasitic infections:
This infection occurs when parasites live and reproduce in your body because parasites need living organisms to get sufficient nutrients to survive. It can spread from contaminated water, foods, and undercooked meats. It is caused by Trichomoniasis, Strongyloidiasis, Leishmaniasis, and Schistosomiasis.Â
Pinworm:
It is also called threadworms. It is the common type of intestinal worm infection caused by Enterobius vermicularis. Hookworm:

Neurocysticercosis:
It is a common parasitic infection that affects the central nervous system of humans. It is a major cause of seizures. It is also known as Taenia solium tapeworm. It usually occurs after consuming uncooked or undercooked pork food, in contaminated water with tapeworm eggs, or through unhygienic practices. Symptoms include epilepsy, stroke, headache, dizziness, movement disorders, stiff neck, nausea, vomiting and confusion.Â
Hydatid:
It is a parasitic infection caused by a tapeworm called Echinococcus. This tapeworm causes cysts in your liver and other organs. It is usually transmitted from sheep and dogs. In humans, it is transmitted by drinking infected parasitic water. Symptoms include coughing, bloody stools, chest or abdominal discomfort, jaundice, skin rash, shortness of breath, weight loss, nausea, and vomiting.Â

DRUG INTERACTION WITH WORMENTEL TABLET
Interaction with the drugs:
A combination of albendazole and fenbendazole may increase the risk of side effectsÂ
Fenbendazole may increase the international normalized ratio of warfarin which increases the risk of bleedingÂ
The use of antacids may decrease the absorption of fenbendazoleÂ
Consuming grapefruit while taking fenbendazole may lead to the development of toxicity
OVERDOSE
Consume the medicine as per the doctor’s advice and prescribed dose and dosage. Avoid taking any extra dose of medicine than the original prescribed dose. Do not overdose for the immediate effect, which leads to undesired effects. MISSED DOSE
