MEDICAL DESCRIPTION OF PIRFENEX TABLET:

Pirfenex  Tablet contains a active substances called Pirfenidone (400mg). Pirfenidone is belongs to the group of medication called Pyridones, which is used in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. It produces its action by reducing the inflammation and scarring in the lungs and helps to breathe easily. Pirfenex  is an anti-fibrotic agent with an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects.

It is used in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

DRUG INTERACTION WITH PIRFENEX TABLET

Interaction with the drugs:

Carbamazepine will decrease the effect of pirfenidone by affecting its hepatic and intestinal enzymes.

Cimetidine along with the Pirfenidone increase the effect of pirfenidone,use the this coimbination with caution.

Avoid consuming grapefruit while taking this medicine it may increase the absorption of this medicine and may produce serious side effects.

OVERDOSE

Consume the medicine as per the doctor’s advice and prescribed dose and dosage. Avoid taking any extra dose of medicine then original prescribed dose.Do not overdose for the immediate effect,which leads to undesired effects. MISSED DOSE
