MEDICAL DESCRIPTION OF MEBENDAZOLE TABLET:

Mebendazole tablet contains Mebendazole (100mg) an antiparasitic agent used to treat many worm infections. It produces its action by killing the worms that are responsible for infections. 

USE OF MEBENDAZOLE TABLET (Indication of Mebendazole):        

It is used in the treatment of parasitic worm infections.

MEBENDAZOLE TABLET BENEFITS:

Pinworm:

It is also called threadworms. It is the common type of intestinal worm infection caused by Enterobius vermicularis. It is a contagious infection that is transmitted from contaminated hands, fingernails, bathroom surfaces, toys, clothing, drinking glasses, and towels. Symptoms include itching around the anus area, trouble sleeping, anus pain, and worms in stool. 

Roundworm:

It is a parasitic infection caused by a roundworm called Ascaris lumbricoides. This worm usually lives in our intestines and causes stomach pain, diarrhea, and fever. It is transmitted from contaminated food and water. Symptoms include fever, vomiting, wheezing, malnutrition, cough, disturbed sleep, stomach pain, and restlessness. 

Whipworm:

It is a common type of large intestine worm infection caused by Trichuris trichiura. It usually develops after the ingestion of contaminated water or feces that contains whipworm parasites. Symptoms include bloody diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, headaches, weight loss, and inability to control feces. 

Hookworm:

This type of parasite usually affects the lungs and small intestine. It is found in contaminated feces. It is caused by parasites called Ancylostoma duodenale, and Nectar americanus. Symptoms include diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, fever, blood in stool, loss of appetite, and rash.

Mebendazole tablet contains Mebendazole (100mg) an antiparasitic medication that produces its action by interfering with the permeability of cell membranes and kills the worms which is responsible for infections. 

CONTRAINDICATION OF MEBENDAZOLE TABLET:

If you are allergic to mebendazole and its combinations, it is advisable not to consume the medicine.

HOW TO TAKE A MEBENDAZOLE TABLET:

If you are suffering from diarrhea, stomach pain, etc

 

DRUG INTERACTION WITH MEBENDAZOLE TABLET

Interaction with the drugs:

Acalabrutinib and mebendazole may increase the risk of myelosuppressive effects. 

The use of fosphenytoin decreases the effect of mebendazole by increasing its metabolism. 

The use of dexamethasone increases the effect of mebendazole by an unspecified interaction mechanism.

 

OVERDOSE

Consume the medicine as per the doctor’s advice and prescribed dose and dosage. Avoid taking any extra dose of medicine then original prescribed dose.Do not overdose for the immediate effect,which leads to undesired effects. MISSED DOSE
